The company

A film company that learned to fix the business behind the film.

Lark Media started in 2016 as a film production company in Virginia. The craft habits stayed: look closely, tell the truth, make it beautiful, sign your work. The work grew from telling a client's story to building what carries it.

Who you are talking to

You talk to the people doing the work. The crew is assembled for the job, never a bench you pay for between jobs.

Raul Serpas

Founder. Reads every diagnosis request himself.

A filmmaker by training. Raul runs the diagnosis, writes the story with you, and signs everything that carries your name before it ships. When you write to Lark Media, he is the one who answers.

Roberto Burgos

Builds the systems.

Roberto builds what carries the story: the follow-up engine, the phone that answers, the page every post points to, the Monday line in your own unit.

A project is staffed the way a film is. Editors, developers, designers, producers and writers come on for the job they are right for, from wherever they happen to be, and several of them are not in this country. You are paying for the work in front of you, not for a room of people waiting between projects.

What guides the work

Five principles run everything we do.

01

Candor over agreement.

We tell you what we actually think, with the reasoning and the evidence, especially when it is not what you hoped to hear. The most expensive sentence in business is the one nobody said out loud.

02

Evidence before proposals.

We do the work first and ask second. The diagnosis comes before the pitch, the source comes before the claim, and anything we cannot verify does not ship.

03

The red pen.

Every piece of work waits for a person who cares to sign it. Taste is a gate, not a garnish. Nothing is fast enough to excuse shipping something we are not proud of.

04

Your outcome first.

You are the hero of every story we tell, and your number is the measure of every system we build. Our mechanics come last, if they come up at all.

05

Craft compounds.

We build things that keep working: stories that keep selling, systems that keep learning, relationships that keep going. The long game is the only game we play.

The line

One story, told clearly, carried everywhere.

Find the story your customers already tell. Tell it as one true story you own. Build the system that carries it. Prove it on a number, or say so in writing.

Look closely. Tell the truth. Make it beautiful. Sign your work.

Where it starts

Your customers are already telling a story about you.

Before a customer calls, they have decided what kind of business you are. They decided it from the review they read, the call that went to voicemail, the quote that came back late. If the owner does not write that story, the market writes it.

The first hour of every diagnosis asks one question. You guess first. Then we read you what the reviews, the unanswered calls and the dormant leads actually say. The gap is the story.

When the constraint is being seen, that story becomes the first system: the film, the page, the posts, built from work you have already done. A paid ad stops selling the day you stop paying. A true story about your work keeps selling for years.

What did the people who left say they thought you were?

See where your story sticks.

We look first. You get the one constraint named, with the evidence, and your operation on one page that stays yours either way.
